Greedy Sprout: Speed-Coded in TURBO, Stress-Tested by Bob
😐 Who is Bob?
Bob is just some guy.
No really, he's so average he practically evaporates when not directly observed.
But Bob has a dream.
A dream to collect every single coin in the universe.
Why?
We don’t know. Bob doesn’t know. No one knows.
🕹️ How to Control This Unstoppable Force of Coin-Hoarding:
- Use Arrow Keys or WASD to move Bob.
- Press Start or Spacebar to start.
- Coins = Good.
- Timer = Bad.
- Go faster. Always faster.
🧪 Why This Exists:
We made this game mostly as a test to ourselves.
A test of our ability to wrangle the Turbo Engine
using only:
- ✍️ The documentation (what we understood of it)
- 🧠 Several generous helpings of guesswork
- 😩 An unquantifiable amount of trial and error
- 🪄 A mix of AI help, chaos, and despair
🎨 Assets That Make Bob's World Less Boring:
- Font of Greatness: BetterPixels
- Music that Slaps:
- Everything You See in the Background: Modern Interiors by LimeZu
🤖 AI Tools That May or May Not Have Helped:
- Claude AI sat quietly in the corner, offering us only riddles and blank stares.
- GitHub Copilot wrote like a Shakespearean playwright with a head injury.
- ChatGPT Turbo genuinely helped untangle our cursed spaghetti code
but then doubled back and tangled it all over again.
and again.
and again.
Eventually, we were forced to summon a real human friend.
A brave soul. A hero.
They answered our cries for help at least six times.
We now owe them not just copious amounts of alcohol,
but likely a legally binding life debt.
📦 Built With:
- turbo.computer — the hyper-minimalist game engine that dares you to debug with vibes
- Bob
- That’s it. Just Bob.
⏱️ Total Dev Time:
Approximately 5 hours
Probably.
Maybe.
We kind of blacked out in the middle and forgot to check the clock.
Somewhere between "this is fun" and "why won't the font show up," time stopped meaning anything.
Fueled entirely by:
- Raw curiosity
- Unstoppable stubbornness
- And possibly a single rogue fruit snack we found under the desk that is weeks old.
